Production Process

Longyu provides high-quality electronic manufacturing to high-tech customers at all stages of the product lifecycle. The following is the production process of Longyu Group’s multi-layer PCB.

Step One: Material Cutting

The manufacturing process begins with the selection of high-quality base materials. During the material cutting phase, we precisely cut materials like FR-4 based on design requirements. Our material brands include Shengyi, Elite, Nanya, Isola, Rogers, KB, and Longyu New Material.

Step Two: Inner Layer Circuit Fabrication

During the inner layer fabrication stage, we apply a conductive coating to the surface of the base material. This is followed by processes such as lamination, exposure, developing, etching, and cleaning to create the inner layer circuit.

Step Three: AOI Testing

AOI Testing is a vital quality control step. We employ high-resolution cameras to inspect the quality of inner layer circuits, ensuring the absence of defects or shorts.

Step Four: Pressing

After the inner layer fabrication, different inner layer boards are stacked together and then firmly bonded using a high-temperature and high-pressure lamination process. This forms the multi-layer structure of the PCB.

Step Five: Drilling

Next, we use precision drilling equipment to create holes in the PCB. Different types of holes, including through-holes, blind vias, and buried vias, are drilled based on the PCB design requirements to meet customer needs.

Step Six: Plating

After drilling, the PCB's surface is plated with a thin layer of copper to enhance the circuit's conductivity. Copper plating can be divided into two types: full-panel plating and pattern plating.

Step Seven: Outer Layer Circuit Fabrication

Once the above processes are completed, we proceed to fabricate the outer layer circuits. We print the pattern layer by layer onto the electroplated copper, following similar steps as the inner layer fabrication, to create the final layout of the circuit board.

Step Eight: Solder Mask / Silkscreen

The coating of solder mask layer can protect the PCB from external environmental influences. We will apply solder mask ink on the PCB according to customer needs, and also help distinguish different components. Silkscreen will also be printed on the board to provide positioning references for the correct installation of components.

Step Nine: Surface Treatment

To enhance soldering and conductivity, the PCB's surface undergoes chemical treatment such as HASL, ENIG, OSP, etc., to ensure better component attachment during subsequent assembly processes.

Step Ten: Electrical Testing

Before leaving the factory, we conduct electrical tests on the PCB to ensure that the circuit's connectivity and functional performance meet the expected requirements.

Step Eleven: Quality Inspection

Quality control is an integral part of our manufacturing process. We subject the PCBs to stringent quality checks, including visual inspection, dimension verification, reliability testing, to ensure they meet IPC standards.

Step Twelve: Shipping

After passing various inspections, qualified PCBs are vacuum packaged and safely delivered. We verify label formats with customers to ensure accurate export details. We commit to delivering the finished products to you on time, meeting your needs.
